This protocol is dependent from country to country. Generally, you can contact a local government office to find out if you are on the register. However, in most countries, you can only check to see if you are on the register. You generally can not just get a list of everyone who is registered to vote in the area.

To check the electoral register you can either use a paid for service on the internet or visit your local electoral registration office. In the UK this is usually your council office.

With the internet checking the electoral register has become less time consuming. All you are required to do is enter the term into your search engine of your choice.
