Goldfish can be kept in a plain bowl without bubbles although they will do better in an aquarium. If they are kept in a bowl about half the water should be changed weekly.I would limit the bowl to only one fish and feed it once a day.

Goldfish do not need an air system to live. Goldfish can live with just the air in the water. They are great little fish that can last a long time. Even if you just buy feeder fish they can grow to the sized of a koi in the right sized tank!
