How do you build stone columns for a porch?

First you make a form out of wood. This would be a design that you want for the columns. Then you would select the stone that you want. Start cementing the stone in the wood column.

You will need some some cement mixture in order to hold the stone columns together. You will need to align the stone columns correctly then you will need to add the cement in between the columns and pat down in order to make sure they are level. Allow to dry and your columns are ready.

You can place the stones throughout the area where you want to place the stone columns. When you place the columns then you can add the cement where it is needed. After you place the columns you can then allow the cement to dry and then you will have the porch completed.
