It is not hard to build a trellis the time will depend on how big you want your trellis. The climbing rose brush is a fairly easy rose to take care of compared to other rose plants. Planting one is the same as most plants. Just make sure you have good rich soil and water it after planting.

Many types of trellises are available at building supplies stores ready made. The trellis is nailed against the wall to prevent it from falling. The rose is planted about half a foot away from the trellis and is supported by ties along its branches. Once established, light pruning may be needed, but is not hard to maintain.
