How do you block calls?

With cell phone you usually need to call your provider and have the number blocked. The nice thing about phones these days is caller id. This makes it so you can screen your calls. Every time this person calls you hit the ignore button. Some phones can be programmed to send the phone number directly to voicemail.

The only way I know that you can block a phone call would be to either get taken off of their calling list if there is one or to not answer the phone when they call you. Other than that I am not sure how you would block a call.
