Some of the larger tech schools will have a course or two on floral designing. Another good way is to be an apprentice or intern and learn the trade that way. Most floral designers have had some education but also learned the business hands-on. If you are eager to learn you can get a job and owrk your way up.

Floral designers can find training on the job with an experienced florist, at a trade school or in a college class. A solid training would include types of design, how to combine floral design with catering and marketing services. Keep portfolio of each floral project completed.

Colleges have classes on floral design and also classes that relate to plants and flowers. You will need all of this to become a floral designer.
