Counterfeit money can range from amateur copies printed on a computer to very sophisticated knock-offs. It is recognized by careful examination of micro-features, special cotton, print quality, and watermarks.

Counterfeit money is usually made via a printer, though sometimes via a printing press. It can be recognized due to lack of RFID stripes or watermarks.
