Photosynthesis occurs in plants. Its a process in which energy is created from sun light and carbon di oxide, which is used to create sugary compounds (organic compounds). In plants, carbon di oxide and water is used for photosynthesis and it releases oxygen as a waste product. Photosynthesis is a vital part for life on Earth.

Photosynthesis is the process by which food (carbohydrates)is made by green plants. Photosynthesis makes use of carbon di oxide to produce carbohydrates in presence of sunlight and water. It also requires the presence of chlorophyll that gives green color to leaves, for the production of food. During the process, carbon di oxide is taken in and oxygen is expelled.
