You will find one code wire in your umbrella that code wire you have to connect to the camera. You will find one connection point for that code wire.

Open the umbrella and put it in place with where you want your camera to face. Then turn on the camera, you should see a strobe effect. The umbrella must be open for this part.

Make sure it's facing the right direction and then just turn it on. If you don't see strobing immediately, make sure the umbrella is open. This is a common problem people new to these things have.
