It could be possible that you have a stuck throttle cable. There is a cable that runs from the gas pedal to the engine, which is connected to the throttle body. Greasing or replacing the cable should help. If this does not work, you may need to have the throttle body inspected.

If the pedal keeps getting stuck the best thing to do is spray liquid graphite into the accelerator cable; and check the connections on the throttle body and pedal.

If your pedal stick you should check to make sure that the linkage working smoothly and is lubricated. Also check to make sure that the cable is lubed.

Well it is possible that your throttle cable could be getting bound. Get some cable specific lubricant used for motorcycles and lube the cable. If it still sticks apply some grease to the pedal pivot.

There are three things you need to check for damage. throttle cable, it's housing, And connectors. The Pivot bolt above the pedal. And the butterfly assembly on the throttle body.

I'm assuming your pedal is the gas and it's modern: Remove the intake snorkel at the engine. Spray carb cleaner in the throat while moving the throttle. Set to dry.

The cable that runs from the pedal to the throttle is probably obstructed. Follow the cable to find where it is getting hung up.

Check the rod or cable connected to the pedal is not obstructed or bent and that both ends can move freely. If a cable is frayed or rusted it must usually be replaced but sometimes a temporary fix would be a generous application of silicon spray while working the pedal.

The best thing to do is to take some PB Blaster or a white lithium grease and spray it on the bottom of the pedal. Be sure not to spray it on the top of the pedal because you will go to hit the brakes and your foot will slip off and you won't stop.

Accelerator pedal, then the cable is sticking and you need you spray lubricant on the cable right where it's exposed in the engine bay. Brake or Clutch pedal most likely means your low on fluid or the Master Cylinder on either is getting stuck. This might mean you need to replace the Master Cylinder.
