How do I teach my Macaw to talk?

Speak to the macaw often and repeat the words you desire him to learn. You can also play a tape recording of the words or phrases while you are away. High pitched or excited voices are usually easier for birds to pick up and copy. The key is repetition, praise and treats.

macaws pick up words easier if they mean something to him, assosciate with an action example. kiss, whilst kissing him, come on then when opening the cage he will soon pick them up!!

The same way you would teach an infant. Talk to it! Make up word games that involve getting treats or being allowed to do something it enjoys. Macaws are very smart and will pick up on them relatively quickly.

Practice every morning after macaw has eaten. Teaching with one word is a good way,can start with'hi' is good. Play with a bird around 10 minutes before teaching.

The Macaw is a bird and it is easily to talk by giving training. It is easy to observe and speak it very beautiful and the only way is to given the training.
