What make and model is your stove? And what code does it give you. Errors that relate to temperature probes, settings and heating problems are much better off with a trained technician. Dig into your manual for small errors that you can reset yourself.

What error code do you get in your stove? First, look at the error code in your manual to find out what that code means and what problem it indicates. Once you know the problem, set it right and your stove code will probably reset - depends on your model!

Your manual will also tell ya how to reset the code once you have taken care of the problem. Most stoves I know do not reset automatically. Nor do they reset when you simply turn it off and then turn it on again.  add a comment

The new model stove codes are set by the manufactuer. A hvac repairman should have a copy of the more common codes. Before resetting the code try throughly cleaning the device, it might not be an actuall heating problem but rather a buildup of gunk and grime in the actuator or ignition switch.

Stoves usually come with code reset manuals and you can try looking up the manual as they have a lot of information about the stove, Best would be to unplug the stove wire from the socket and then restart the timer and set the codes.

If you are receiving an error message on your stove there is more to fixing the problem than simply resetting the code. You will most likely need to hire an experienced technician who can correctly diagnose the problem. Most likely you will have a problem with your oven control board or the sensor probe.
