How do I replace tank to bowl washer on toilet?

The tank has to be removed from the bowl. Once removed, place a new rubber seal between the tank and bowl and reattach the tank.

Buy a washer at the home improvement store, it'll have some directions. Drain the tank as much you can. Remove nuts and bolts at the bottom of the tank.

Turn off water to toilet. Drain toilet and tank. Unscrew from bottom. Install new tank, and screw down carefully. Dont overtighten or the tank will crack.

Turn off water at shut-off valve, empty tank of water, loosen & remove tank-to-bowl bolts. Lift tank off bowl and replace washer. Reverse to replace.
