How do I replace fuel line compression fittings?

Answer by  Joe1010us (239)

Most compression fittings must be replaced if a slight tightening wont fix the leak. Once a compression ring is tightened on the tube it cannot be removed. If tightening does not work, a section of the fuel line must be removed in order to piece in new fittings.

Often times the best way to replace these types of fittings is to get a compression tool. The often run around 100 dollars.

The only way to replace fuel compression fittings is by replacing the entire fuel line. Because the line is flared at the end of the fitting, there is no way to just just replace it.
