How do I repair a Tecumseh valve setting for my lawn mower?

If you are wanting to repair this type of valve then you will need to work on the engine. The valve is located right next to the fuel pump area.

remove valve cover, rotate engine to exhaust full open.. check clearance at push rod rocker arm. Should be about. 006... back off center set screw, tighten retaining nut under screw... use feeler gauge to get correct clearance. Tighten retaining screw and repeat for intake valve.
