How do I remove spare tire on Cadillac Escalade?

Depending on the year of your escalade it is either rear mounted on the back of the vehicle or up under the rear of the vehicle. If it is rear mounted you simply unbolt the tire from the rear of the vehicle. If it is under the vehicle, you use the rod and crank the tire down to the ground.

It's held in place by a wire and is located under your cab, climb under there and twist the guard off either by hand or with a wrench.

Find the jack. Find the jack handle. Open the back doors. See the little hole above the license plate? Put jack handle in there and crank. It's on a cable

There should be a small door in the rear bumper that holds the 'hole' or spare tire lock which you will use to lower the spare.

Take your car key and open the hatch on the back bumper. Then take you jack extension handle and slip it in the hole until it connects with cable lowering system. Turn to the left to lower the tire to the ground.
