The key is to use a good gel based stripper. You would apply it as directed and let it sit for a while. Next, use a putty knife to scrape off the paint and repeat if necessary. Finally, sand down the wood with sandpaper.

In a well ventilated area, apply a paint stripper to the wood and allow it to soak in for 30-60 minutes. read the instructions and warnings on the label. After the stripper has soaked in, scrape it off with a putty knife and a chemical-resistant, stiff-bristle brush. Repeat as necessary.

The safest way to do this is to buy a paint remover like Goof Off. Avoid harsh chemical paint removers like Jasco, as these will dissolve the clearcoat and stain from the wood.

Denatured alcohol will remove it without ruining the finish. Test a small area first, and if necessary dilute with water.

Well you can remove the paint with abrasive or with chemicals but you should know the finish will probably be removed along with the paint.

You can burn it off or you can use a paint remover. Follow the instructions. Hopefully the finished wood was covered with polyurethene and the paint will come off easy. This is something to do outside or in the garage.
