How do I recharge and add freon to my mini fridge?

I believe today Freon is not an easily available substance. Yes, department stores sells cans of a Freon-like mix but sometimes this can be dangerous or not have the desired effect you are looking for. This for the better part of valor I would recommend you take this to a professional.

You can buy the cans at walmart or Home Depot but freon is extremely dangerous. Even the newer stuff they use. I would recommend calling a HVAC specialist to see if they will do it for you.

The best way to do this is to ask a professional because I really don't think that you can't buy that you have to call a professional to have them installed and put in. This would be a huge help if they just sold it at a store or market place.

I personally have never added freon to a fridge unit. I have had it added to my air conditioner. You may want one that you don't have to change.

Funny how no one ever answered the question. Not everyone likes to be ripped off by a tech. I have seen many 'tech" or pro's release gas into the air to spare,e

Nobody is answering the original question. It's very easy to do with cars. I imagine with some decent shop skills it's also possible to repair a mini fridge. Yes, it's dangerous to mix R-12 and R-134a, but if the fridge originally had R-123a, wouldn't it be reasonably safe?
