How do I paint a drop ceiling?

If the drop ceiling are panels, take the panels out and paint them outside oor in the garage. The strips that hold the panels will need to be painted with paint for metal. Panels you could use the paint of your choice, preferably washable.

Do to the design and texture you may want to look into renting or buying a spraying system. These are fast and can eliminate mess when painting rough surfaces.

Use a roller and paint both the ceiling tile and the metal frames that hold the tiles in place. You should be able to use a flat paint, in an off-white color. If the ceiling is very dirty, brush it first to remove dust.
