Brush your dogs coat daily using a firm-bristle brush. This daily brushing will remove the old hairs that are ready to be shed. This not only prevents the shedding of hairs all over your home but will keep you dogs coat a nice color. Shampoo your pit bull as needed.

Pitbulls have short coats that do not require intensive maintenance. Bathing your dog with a good shampoo once or twice a month will help. Brush your dog's coat regularly to remove loose hair. Using a flea preventive with Frontline or Advantage will help prevent flea infestations that can lead to areas of hair loss and redness.

Like all dogs, Pit Bulls require care and attention to maintain their coats. As short haired dogs, they should only be bathed when necessary. Regular brushing will take care of loose hair, dirt, sand, etc. that may negatively affect the dog's coat. Also, you can rub the dog with a towel or chamois cloth.

Wash frequently with good shampoo, and feed him food that has essential ingredients to enrich his coat. You may also try giving him supplements that specialize in making his coat shiny. Good Luck!

Invest in a really good shampoo with a conditioner. There are a lot of good natural ones on the market. Always brush on a regular basis.
