How do I lease my land for natural gas?

Landowners are approached by oil/gas companies that believe, because of geological studies, that there is natural gas on the property. The owner does not offer; the business requests.

The owner of the land doesn't usually lease the land until or unless a company contacts them. They will only contact you if they believe there is gas present there.
