Generally the natural gas valve can be removed with a screwdriver. However, you should ensure that the gas delivery system is off and allow some time for it to clear before attempting this yourself.

You can use hot water which is safe or a screwdriver. If you choose the later make sure to shut off the main before doing so.

One of the things that is involved with unsticking the valve is checking to make sure that the gas is off. By doing that you can avoid some danger. I believe you will need to use a screwdriver as well.

There is no possible repair for a manufactured gas valve. Disassembling the valve will put you in a dangerous situation. It is likely the valve is not stuck, and the thermostat wire is shorted and calling for heat continuously. Disconnect the thermostat and see if the problem persists. If it does, replace the gas valve.

If you are wanting to do this to your natural gas valve then you will first need to remove it. You will then need to find out why it is sticking.
