You should re-plant bushes when you find your garden area to be overcrowded, and the sizes and shapes have outgrown their environment. You need to be careful when re-planting, as the stress of the move may well create more issues than the ones that led you to move plants in the first place. Water, water, water - you'll do fine.

Bushes to not often need to be replanted. You only should move or re-plant your bush if you are wanting to move the bush to a different area.

It depends on your location and the weather that you are experiencing as well as the bush that you want to re plant. Most bushes can be re planted after the chance for frost have passed. Some bushes however need a cold period to hybernate and are best left outside
