Your Cockatoo might be sick if he is losing his tail feathers at an alarming rate. If he is shivering and acting aloof with you, change in diet, and runny stools. Birds usually hide the fact they are sick until the last minute, so it is best to take the bird to the vet immediately.

The first thig to look for is to watch his behavior if it seems off then you need to get him checked out by the vet.
