If your symptoms are not improving after a week or two, you probably want to see a doctor. Unexplained and high fever that doesn't dissipate with regular at home medicines is another good reason to see a doctor. Call a doctor's office, speak with the nurse, explain your symptoms. They can tell you if you need to see a doctor.

If you are asking this question you are probably in need of a doctor. When you are really sick, your have a fever that is way too high, you are bleeding and it won't stop and if you think you're dying are good reasons to go.

You should seek medical advise if you have a fever over 102 degrees farenheit, if you are experiencing the worst headache you've ever had, if your symptoms do not subside or go away within several days or if you cannot control bleeding from a wound. When in doubt, call.
