This is really going to depend on the year of the corvette as the ignition has change multiple times between the 80's to the 2000s model. In the 90's they went to a distributor-less system. I would consult the dealer or buy a corvette repair manual.
Installing an ignition is always a tricky job, its best to leave this to the pros. Buy the ignition and take it to the dealership, or someone you trust. It will be cheaper if you already have the part.
If you are looking to upgrade for a MSD (multi spark discharge) ignition most of it is plug and play all you need to do is make sure that you have the correct timming and spark plug gap it may change but if you are upgrading i would recommend new plugs and spark plug wires.

Use screwdriver to open the holding clamps from wire connector. Lift the module out and check for heat damage,which will cause over voltages. Now install the new module.
Take the steering wheel off, lock cam assembly. Then take old ignition out and install the new one. Then put steering wheel back on. Contact dealer if need help.
