I have always used ammonia, but be careful make sure there is good air circulation. Pour 1/2 cup to 1 gallon warm water. I use a sponge mop.

I think that all you need to do is take up the baseboards and pull up one corner. You can cut a piece with a knife and then just start pulling it up.

Well you can try watering it and letting it soak for a while and then just try to peel it off gently with your hands, but that would mean that you would have to leave water in the room for a few hours and it might infiltrate in the floors.

They easiest way is to use the same brand of stripper as the floor wax you normally use. Non-rinse is better. Consider renting a machine to scrub and dry the floor as it can be hard work. You can most likely find all the supplies and equipment you need in a janitor supply store.

To strip linoleum floors use ammonia. Put it in your mop bucket like you would regular water but do not add soap. Mop your floor as you would regularly and it will take the wax and dirt off the linoleum. Rinse as necessary.

Speak to an expert. What you use and how you use it depends on exactly what kind of flooring it is and what you are trying to remove from it.

Use isopropyl alcohol to strip linoleum. Mop with a mix of alcohol and water, mix a solution of 3 parts water to 1 part alcohol. Scrub well and rinse.

Use a knife to cut linoleum into wide strips. Pour hot water onto the floor and allow it to soak for a few minutes. This should soften the glue underneath. An alternative to hot water is a heat gun. Once the glue is softened remove linoleum and scrape the remaining glue off subfloor.
