Turn off the power to the switch. Unscrew the cover to the switch, there should be four connections. Disconnect the wire on the side of the switch the black one. Then disconnect the two wires on the other side of the switch they should be red and black. Then disconnect the bare or green wire on the ground.

turn off the power supply and remove the screws. There, would be 4 conductors and remove the black wire.Disconnect the 2 wires such as Red & Black, on the other side of the switch.Since disconnect the green wire on the ground screw you can easily replace it with another new one.

First, you must find the circuit that feeds the the light/switch, and turn it off. Next, you should see four conductors. Disconnect the wire on the side of the switch (usually black). Next disconnect the two wires on the other side of the switch (usually red and black). Diconnecct the bare or green wire on the ground screw.

Put off power supply and remove the screws. Look at the markings of where each wire is placed and remove them by removing the screws. Since you marked where you removed each wire you can easily replace it with another new one.
