The first research rebuild parts to make sure they are available for your engine. Next have a machine shop inspect the block to make sure it is use-able. Then they can machine the block, install bearings, and press on pistons. Then you piece the rest together following a rebuild book.

First you take a block and have it fluxed, bored, and honed. Then buy a rebuild kit and install all the new components.

This is a big job unless you know what you're doing. The parts to a small block engine are available at Auto Zone or any auto parts store, but there's really no instructions that will guide you step by step. Still, if you're mechanically inclined, you shouldn't have a problem rebuilding it.

Well start by doing a ton of research. Locate a rebuild kit or purchase all the pessary part. Have the block check by a machine shop to see if it is cracked or needs to be bored. They will also probably also offer to install the new cam bearing and press on the pistons. Then start rebuilding it.
