How do I get rid of cicadas?

Unfortunately it is almost impossible to get rid of cicadas. They only way you can get rid of them is prevention by cultivating a healthy lawn with no bare patches. They can live up to 17 years also. They wont hurt you because the females don't pay attention and the males are not able to string.

The best way of getting rid os cicadas is either buying a set of ear plugs to drown out the noise. Cut down all the trees(hiding spots) in your area, or if you can get some cicada killing wasp. All except the first will be costly and maybe ineffective. Good luck

For the most part, no there is no simple way to get rid of cicadas. The only way to keep them away is to not have any trees close to your home. The good news is that they only hatch once every 17 years so just grit your teeth and wait out the season.

Unfortunately it's practically impossible to get rid of Cicada's. Aside from removing every tree in the vicinity, and ensuring a healthy lush lawn. There are other insects that prey on these, such as the Cicada Killer Wasp that you can introduce to the area if they aren't there already.
