How do I get a trim waist?

I've lost a lot of weight, but my waist is still too big.

Try doing some ab exercises. You could search online or look in books for some routines. Some simple exercises to try are bicycle crunches, regular crunches, etc. General cardiovascular exercise is also good for slimming down. Try running, jogging, or even just simple walking. Biking and swimming are other good exercises.

I believe the best way is to hit the gym. Do more abdominal workouts like sit-ups, crunches, these exercises will work out your oblique muscles. Which in turn burns calories and helps slim the waist. Also, try going on bike rides & rollerblading, go out on walks, and jog. Any aerobic exercise with help you trim the waist.
