The PTO clutch is cheaper to replace than repair. Many hardware stores carry the clutch in stock and will install it for you .

To fix PTO clutch on lawn mower, the impetus has to be given on the amp mode drawn. In case if it draws more than 3 amps, the electric clutch coil has to be replaced in the PTO clutch. If everything is Ok,brake and its wires have to be fixed properly.

I`t very simple. You should go back where do you bought the items and the mecanics shoul repair them very shortly.

The PTO wires being disconnected will definatly cause problems since most lawn mowers will not start without one. Try a manual that will help locate where the wire belongs
