How do I fix my deadlatch? It sticks out.

Try taking the deadlatch apart, cleaning, and lubricating it. If this doesn't work a quick fix, for a short period of time, would be to rub graphite on the main latch. If all else fails you can replace your internals for about $10. 00.

I think that you mean "How do I fix my deadbolt? " Did you lose the deadbolt key? That would be the easiest way to fix it. Failing that you could call a locksmith or replace the deadbolt in its entirety.

the best way is to remove the latch and dip it in kerosene oil for two days as all the rust inside loosens out after that try opening it with the key if it moves grease it and it may work without throwing it or if that does not work you will have to buy a new one..

The deadlatch can be oiled well using a very fine lubricating oil available in the market oils that are used for engines are a good choice
