Well in some cases the switch can be taken apart and cleaned. However usually they are sealed and you just have to replace them.

there might be dust in it. Take it apart and clean it or just replace the switch. It is quite cheap.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a "Malfunction Switch". However, a broken or malfunctioning switch can simply be removed and replaced with a new switch.

You will need to take in in to have it fixed. Or go to an auto parts store for a manual for your car. Tell them the make and model.
