In order to calculate the square footage of your home you just measure the length and width of the outside of the house and multiply those two numbers together.

To find out how many square feet are in your home measure the length of your house in feet and the width of your house in feet and then multiply the length by the width. For a two story house, you will need to multiply that total by 2.
