How do I design a layout for a Crape Myrtle garden?

Answer by  JohnHolmes (2660)

You should begin by drawing plans for how you want it to look. Once you decide set up the infrastructure before actually planting.

Measure your garden area to be designed. A mature Crape Myrtle may be 10-15' high and wide so layout your garden so that the canopies do not touch.

First take measurements of the area where you intend to plant your garden. Next, use paper to draw your design in a smaller but accurate scale. Once you've completed your drawings, lay out the different sections using inexpensive lath and label the sections so you know where to plant what.
