Basic colors are important. Walls and carpet should have the right palette. Get inspiration from the web and magazines. Accessories can be very effective. Choose a theme to go after.

Buy and add a few pieces her and their. Then I would add some bamboo in the corners. Then regroup and see what areas you would add more. Be sure to stay with the same theme. There are alot of Oriental pieces with different colors, mixing to much would make it look to junky.
