VCR units have "tracking" switches that make the images clearer or more fuzzy. Adjust the tracking mechanism until the picture on the TV meets with your approval.

Possibly two ways. Adjust the tracking on your recorder, or clean its heads. However, if the original recording is damaged, this may be impossible.

Fuzzy recording is a function of one of three things. First, clean the head of the VCR with a cleaning tape. If that does not correct the problem make certain that you are using newer tapes. Old tapes will begin to fuzz after several uses. Finally, check the tracking on your unit.

Fuzzy video recordings are usually caused by dirty or dusty heads. You can get head cleaners at most Target or Wal-Mart style stores or online. You may also want to used compressed air on the inside as it could just be a build up of dust.

Try to adjust the tracking on the VCR, if that does not work, you tape might be warped and there really isn't anything you can do to fix it. VHS tapes unlike DVD's are recorded in analog (or magnetically) as opposed to digitally, which means it looses signal over time.

Try checking your tracking setting, it may need adjustment *your manual should tell you how to change it. You may have also recorded from a poor source, make sure the channel is strong and connections are tight. Also try recording in the future in SP mode instead of LP/EP.
