It's actually pretty simple to convert an itunes m4a into an mp3. All you need is a software that you can download off the internet. I recommend you to try Free M4a to MP3 Converter 6. 1 program from Maniac Tools or M4A to MP3 Converter 1. 2. They're both free and reliable!

You cannot convert m4a files in to mp3. M4a is a proprietary file format exclusive to Apple itunes. All songs bought on itunes are the m4a format to help reduce illegal sharing of songs.

If you bought the m4a off of the iTunes store, you cannot convert it due to the DRM that is embedded into the file. As asinine as it is, the DRM essentially states Apple still owns that file and you the user are merely leasing the file from Apple.

If the file has DRM, then you will need a tool to remove the DRM to do this first. Once you have done that, you could use the ffmpeg package to convert, then use a command like "ffmeg -i file.m4a -acodec libmp3lame -f mp3 file.mp3".

Well this usually requires you to find a converting program. Do a search online and you can find a few different ones. Search around to find one that has a lot of good review. Then download and install it. The import your song and set it to output an mp3. There are also online converts that might do the job.

To convert a music file's format like this you will need some type of conversion software. There are some that cost money but you should be able to find ones like Free M4a to MP3 Converter to do it for free. Then just follow the directions.

Usually this cannot be done because itunes encodes your media with a serial number unique to your hardware so it cannot be used on anything other than your PC and your Ipod. You can try searching online for a fre m4a to mp3 converter but I don't think one exists.
