There are various fuel cleaner that you can use in order to clean your fuel tank. Most of these cleaner involved using it with an empty tank and then filling the tank with the gas.

You can clean it by taking it out and opening it up and cleaning it with elbow grease. You could run some stuff through your car, I believe. If you don't know what you are doing then pay a professional to do it for you to make sure you don't ruin it.

A dirty fuel tank can be easily cleaned by pouring of hot water in the tank and then rubbing the same and after that a washing with clean running water.

keep near by fire fighting equipments near for emergency. make tank completempty empty. rub the same by cotton. rince with water.

The best way to clean a fuel tank is with a sand blaster. Unscrew the fuel tap insert sand blaster tube and blast for a few minutes.
