How do I choose the right UPS for my imac?

Well it depends on what type of OS and processor you are using, it's best to use your IMAC instructions and check the UPS listed under the manual.

It depends on the imac model: the (21.5-inch models) has a Maximum continuous power of : 241W ; 3while the (27-inch models) has a max of 365 Watts, so for both models a 500 VA UPS would work just fine.

Since UPS are pretty much independant of the computer connected to them your decision should lie in the features you would like. If you have constant brown-outs that last more then 10 mins and you can not afford for your machine to shut down improperly you may want to go with a higer end model then iniates shutdown for you.

use 500VA ups for imac. sune wave is better. use better battery (12v 7 Ah) with trickl recharger system. Always use AVR (automativ voltage regulator) system for various voltage fluctuations.
