To become a Mexican citizen you must first live in Mexico with an FM2 visa. This is a permanent resident visa for people with the intent to become a Mexican citizen. In order to apply for an FM2 visa you must first get an FMT or FM3 visa. The amount of time to become a citizen depends on your circumstances.
