First clean the carbs if possible, then locate the throttle cable and the nuts on it. These nuts can be adjusted accordingly whether you want more or less power when hitting the gas.

The throttle cable, near the right hand throttle, has a series of nuts that you can tighten or loosen. That's where the majority of adjustments take place. I would recommend having your carbs. serviced. Then you'll have a better shot at getting your idle where you want it.
