First loosen the axle nuts on each end of the axle. Second, loosen the locknuts on both ends of the swingarm. Now, tighten or loosen the two bolts to adjust the axle position and chain slack. The correct slack at the tightest part of the chain should be between 1'-1.5'. Ensure the axle is aligned and retighten the locknuts.

On most bike you should have chain adjusters made into the swing-arm. There will be a bolt on each side that can move the axle back. Just screw them in until the chain slack is within spec.

You should have a chain adjuster bolts made into the rear of the bike. Turn them to remove slack from the chain to get it to factory specification.

this should be a fairly simple job. you need to loosen the rear axel. Then there are nuts on each side of the swing arm that you adjust to pull the wheel back and forth. You need to adjust the wheel back untill the chain has about 1. 5 inch of play at the bottom part of the chain. Then tighten.
