It depends on the type of 'peach' pit. Some won't grow. You should first dry it out before you plant it. It will take years before you see fruit.

You can plant the seed in the fall in your graden. 4 inches deep and a part cover with an inch of straw or mulch and then water over the winter. Water if there is not snow or they look dry.
