You most often get what you pay for. If you have super sensitive skin go for makeup that is scent free and hypoallergenic. Target and CVS stores sell Boots products.

Some "experts" say there basically is no difference between the drug store brand and the department store brands. Others say higher grade ingredients are used in the department store makeup. Then there are people like Paula Begoun who is an industry analyst saying you can pick from both sectors, you just have to do a bit of research.

It totally depends on the brand of makeup and the product that you are using. I like using Maybelline mascaras which is from the drugstore better than any other mascara.

Basically all makeup is the same with a variation in ingredients. Some of the department store makeup is made with higher quality ingredients but most importantly they carry a designer name.

If you look at the make-up that has what it is made out of listed on the label, you can see that they are almost exact. They are cheaper too.

Depending on the price you spend in drugstores on makeup, most of the do not compare to department store brands. The time the makeup stays on the skin isn't as good.
