To convert your bathtub to a walk-in shower, you will have to remove the bathtub. This is a serious remodeling job. If you need a walk-in, you probably aren't fit enough to do the work yourself. You will need a plumber and someone to install the new unit.

Not difficult at all. Take off the molding and cut the seals around the old tub. Pull out the old tub. You will need to then lay new tiles and convert the drain openings for a shower. Then put in the new shower walls and fixtures. Reseal the edges and replace molding.
