How did Washington Court House, Ohio get it's name?

This is one of the most unusual city names I've heard. There's got to be a story behind it.

It was originally called the City of Washington until 2002. There was another Township named Washington in another Ohio County and this can get confusing. In 2002, the nae was officially changed to Washington Court House.
