How did they invent Tabasco hot sauce?

Tabasco sauce was first made in Maryland and was packaged in a old time bottle. The reason it was made was because the pepper farmer had more peppers than he could handle so he made it it so people would want it to complement their food. It was named after a place in Mexico but is American made.

Tabasco sauce was invented by a man named Edmund McIlhenny in late 1800's where he experiemented with peppers from the family garden.
