Some women get hemmorrhoids and some don't. Usually you won't get them until later in pregnancy (late second trimester to early third trimester).

You are not doomed to get hemorrhoids. They're more common when you're pregnant because of the increased likelihood of constipation and excess pushing. I ate lots of fiber... no problems here.

It is very common because of the weight gain, try and eat food high in fibre ; apricots, prunes etc. Drinking plenty of fluids helps too.

Not all pregnant women will get hemorrhoids during pregnancy. I have been pregnant twice and do not have hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are generally caused by straining to have a bowel movement. A regular stool softener with doctors approval should keep you from having bowel movements that are overly firm and cause hemorrhoids.
